We are looking for someone to join us as a Response Operations Coordinator on a full-time basis. This role is responsible for proactively monitoring and operating Wilson James Operational Support Centre (OSC). The purpose of the role is:

  • Frontline response to emergencies, protecting people, reputation, and assets
  • Monitoring events, proactive and reactive alerting and notifications
  • Managing and monitoring operations support requirements

As a Response Operations Coordinator, you will monitor, disseminate and process information within the OSC systems, and control information flow to the operational sites. This position requires a high level of accuracy at all times.

  • Receiving intelligence reports, disseminating information and identifying events that may impact operations.
  • Screening prioritising, grading and publishing security alerts into the OSC platform
  • Advising stakeholders 24/7 about events that may impact them
  • Conducting short-term analysis on specific events and writing advisories
  • Providing security advice for employees or customers intending to travel or already in locations around the world
  • Scoping, proposing, planning and managing journey management tasks for employees and customers during international travel
  • Checking, monitoring and escalating lone worker safety and welfare protocols
  • Responding to emergency events to keep employees and customers safe, including if required lifesaving advice protocols
  • Receiving employee absenteeism notifications and escalating response actions
  • Ensure OSC information systems and applications are administrated correctly; to satisfy internal and external audits
  • Proactively develop and maintain professional relationship with stakeholders, ensuring tasks are delivered within operational timeframes

Required Skills

  • An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive person with the ability to perform under pressure
  • Excellent administration skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent computer skills, experience with MS office applications
  • Interest in and good knowledge of current affairs
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of responding to critical incidents
  • Second language
  • Intelligence analysis experience
  • Current standards and practices used in security
  • Certificate, Diploma, Degree or equivalent in a risk, intelligence or security related field

Shifts/Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 4 on, 4 off days and nights 48 hours a week Salary: £25,000 rising to £26,000 after passing successful probation
